Many Congratulations to Bassel Tahboub, Dr Mariam Tahboub and Dr Stefan Dechev for their appointments as the Officers of the AHCPBG!
We are proud to announce that Bassel Tahboub, Dr Mariam Tahboub and Dr Stefan Dechev have been approved and appointed as the officers of the AHCPBG during the Trustees/Directors Meetings of the AHCPBG on 22 December 2021 and during the General Committee/Council Meeting of 23 December 2021.
We would also like to congratulate Dr Omar Juma and Dr Manahil Elhaj for the approval of their appointments as Trustees/Directors of the Bulgarian Association - AHCPBG.

Profile of Bassel Tahboub, BSc, MSc
Bassel Tahboub, BSc. In Medical Rehabilitation and Ergotherapy, MSc. In SPA treatments and management. PhD in Sport Science.
Bassel Tahboub was born in 1991 in Plovdiv. He completed his high school education at “Ecole Amal” in Aleppo, Syria.
He graduated with bachelor degree in 2014 from Medical University of Sofia in Medical Rehabilitation and Ergotherapy. He graduated with master degree in 2015 form National Sport Academy “Vassil Levski” in Sofia in SPA culture, Eastern and Aqua Practices.
He is currently a PhD student studying and preparing for his Doctorate degree at the National Sport Academy “Vassil Levski”, Sofia, Bulgaria.
His fields of research interests are in medical science, sport science and sport medicine.
His professional specialties are in the field of neurology and orthopaedic diseases and post-surgical treatment, health and quality of life standards.
He is a sportsman and has a strong background in the field of sports. He has the skills of proficiency to five international languages.
Bassel Thaboub is an international Editorial Board Member of some peer reviewed medical Journals of various Academies and Associations, a Trustee/Director of the Association of Health Care Professionals, Bulgaria (AHCPBG) and he is the President and Officer of the AHCPBG.
Profile of Dr Mariam Tahboub, MD
Dr Mariam Tahboub was born in 1989 in Sofia, Bulgaria, Europe.
Dr Tahboub finished her school education in Aleppo, Syria.
She graduated in 2015 from Medical University of Sofia in Medical studies.
She is currently specielizing neurology in University Multiprofile Hospital “Plovdiv”, Bulgaria, Europe.
Her fields of research interests are in medical sciences.
Her professional specialties are in the field of neurological diseases such as neurological disorders, treatment of conditions of stroke, dementia and degenerative diseases.
She has the skills of proficiency to four international languages.
Dr Mariam Thaboub is an international Editorial Board Member of some peer reviewed medical Journals of various Academies and Associations, a Trustee/Director of the Association of Health Care Professionals, Bulgaria (AHCPBG) and the Secretary/Treasurer and officer of the AHCPBG.
Profile of Dr Stefan Dechev, MD
Dr Stefan Dechev is a specialist in Urology at the University Multidisciplinary Hospital for Active Treatment, ”Plovdiv” in the City of Plovdiv, Bulgaria, Europe.
Dr Stefan Dechev was born in 1986 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, Europe. He graduated from French high school in Plovdiv , Bulgaria.
He graduated with Master’s Degree in Medicine in 2011 from Medical University of Plovdiv, Bulgaria for the qualification of Medical Doctor. He is a specialist in urology from 2018.
His fields of interests are in anatomy, medical science, including robotic, laparoscopic and minimal invasive surgery.
Dr Stefan Dechev has the following language skills: Bulgarian, French and English.
Dr Stefan Dechev is also Trustee/Director of the Association of Health Care Professionals, Bulgaria (AHCPBG) and he is the Vice President and Officer of the AHCPBG.
PROFILE OF DR OMAR A.JUMA, MD, MPH
Dr Omar A. Juma is a physician and researcher based in Bagamoyo, Tanzania, He has worked with Ifakara Health Institute(IHI) for over fifteen years. At this institue he is a Senior Research Scientist, Project Leader, Research and Public Engagement Coordinator for the institution.
The work of his organisation focuses on public health research and training within the community. Our organisation has a longstanding history of doing research in National and international level.
Dr Juma has both a medical and public health backgrounds, having completed his medical degree training and his public health training in Australia. He has worked on malaria,TB, COVID 19, research and vaccines,WASH,Innovation,and others and he has done broad clinical and public health research on community based health. He created network of community health workers and Community Advisor Board(CAB) in Bagamoyo district.
Dr Juma is also the President of the African Region for the Association of Health Care Professioansl (AHCP), and its Membership Services, including the International Association of Health Care Professioanls (IAHCP) Society in the African Region. He is also a Trustee/Director for the IAHCP and the various collabarting Organsions internationally.
He is a member of the International Editorial Boards for the various IAHCP Society Journals and other pubications for the collabrating Organsiations.
Dr Omar Juma is also a Trustee/Director of the Association of Health Care Professionals, Bulgaria (AHCPBG).
Profile of Dr Manahil Elhaj, MBBS, MD
Dr Manahil Elhaj Ggaduated from Gezira University –Sudan, Faculty of medicine and general surgery with bachelor degree in 2002.
Academic qualifications:
-Graduated from Gezira University –Sudan, Faculty of
medicine and general surgery with bachelor degree in 2002
-Has master degree in community medicine, Sudan Medical
Specialization Board (SMSB) in 2006.
-MD degree in community medicine from (SMSB) in 2012.
-Doctor evaluation certificate from ministry of health UAE in 2012.
Work experience:
-Has work experience about 18 years in the fields of community medicine, and
general practise (both in hospitals and PHC).
-Worked as manager of Reproductive health program in Atbara PHC, Sudan.
-Teaching assistance experience in the Academy of Health Science, Atbara, Sudan.
Activities:
-Attended and fully participated in National and international conferences.
Memberships:
-International Editorial Board Member of prestigious medical journals in the IAHCP Society and IAES.
- Dr Elhaj is Trustee/Director of various not for profit Organisations with charitable intents in the UK and internationally.
